Fi Quinn - The Content Strategist
As a UX content strategy (design) and marketing expert, Fi (short for Fiona) created content strategy for large-scale content projects such as Google hotels, while working at Google, and Swan Hellenic, and is a stickler for consistency and style, customer personas and user journeys.
As a writer and editor, she also created content across numerous online projects, including Google Travel, as well as for Google Cloud B2B event marketing, writing comms, website and app content.
She has written for The Telegraph, The Guardian and The Sun among others, as well as copywriting for Google, Tripsmiths, Swan Hellenic and more. She also worked as a travel guidebook editor and writer for Frommer’s, Thomas Cook and Popout Maps creating more than 100 guides from Bristol to Ibiza, Dubai to San Francisco.
Her passion for travel has taken her across the world from being a student in Paris (she chats in French too) to working as a ski rep in France and Switzerland, then as an overseas rep / tour escort for Kuoni in Egypt, Maldives, Mexico, China and Hong Kong, hanging out in the Google offices in New York and California, and more recently for Solos Holidays working as a tour escort in Austria, Greece and Turkey.
Fi is a people person, so she loves to chat and collaborate with great minds. She also takes an interest in positive psychology and how that plays out in marketing. She brings her expertise in project management, team and personal development, content strategy, planning and executing large-scale projects to The Power of Six.

Mark Henshall - The Creative Marketer
Alongside being an award-winning travel editor and journalist for 20 years with bylines for The Telegraph, National Geographic Traveller and The Independent, Mark has grown his marketing expertise at various agencies over 14 years with work on global brands.
With marketing experience from strategy and SEO to social media and SaaS tools, he has worked for brands such as John Lewis, Waitrose, Post Office, MoneySupermarket, TUI, London City Airport, Audley Travel, Forest Holidays and Air Mauritius, focusing on data-driven insight with measurable results for client success.
An experienced media and comms trainer for C-Suite clients across leading brands in Aviation, Travel & Leisure, Media, Legal, Finance, Telecoms and more, Mark brings a rounded and integrated approach to The Power of Six.
HOWARD SALINGER
Howard Salinger - The Party Planner
Howard, our events expert, has spent 17 years working with some of the biggest travel brands in the industry bringing together PR/marketing representatives with the UK’s leading travel journalists.
He set up Travel Connection Group (TCG) in 2017 to assist travel companies with event support. He organised in-person media events for the likes of visit.brussels, Music Heritage London, the Great West Way and the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
When the Coronavirus pandemic began in March 2020 he pivoted to running virtual events and launched ‘Social with Media’, a programme offering travel companies and travel media a chance to connect on a regular basis. Off the back of that, he has run virtual media events for the German National Tourist Office (twice), CTO Chapter UK & Europe, Clinique La Prairie, How Many Elephants and helped to organise Silver Travel Advisor’s 2020 Virtual Awards.
Doug Shields - The Idea Generator
After 14 years working on news publications across the globe in London, New York and LA, Doug took over as creative director of news generation specialist 72Point.
Working on thousands of campaigns for the world’s biggest brands such as TUI Cruises, Doug was responsible for creating branded newsworthy content for distribution to online and print publications.
Doug is a self-confessed news hound who can sniff out a story like no-one else in the PR industry. In 2019, he formed Shields Media Consultancy which offers a string of services including idea generation, news copywriting, reputation management and digital marketing.

Cathy Bartrop - The Video Guru
Cathy brings 30 years of video production and distribution experience to the table. A travel industry veteran, she has done it all from producing, directing, recruiting and managing teams of pro crew right through to her current passion - harnessing the power of mobile film tech, self-shooting, presenting and editing.
It's a career that has taken her all over the world on location shoots for numerous tourist boards, tour operators and cruise lines. With her wings clipped during lockdown, Cathy’s skills have been in demand for creative reversioning of existing footage as well as producing fresh content for virtual events.
Her online brand is travelguru.tv (web, YouTube and social media channels) and her content is widely shared with other travel media and trade partners.

Nori Jemil - The Photography & Multimedia Specialist
Nori Jemil is a multiple award-winning travel photographer, writer and videographer. She is the co-author of the Rough Guide to Australia, and her work has appeared in numerous publications, including National Geographic Traveller UK, BBC Travel and Conde Nast Traveller.
Nori was named Travel Photographer of the Year in 2017 by the British Guild of Travel Writers. She’s won other accolades, including Wanderlust’s Travel Photograph of the Year in 2010. She teaches film and photography in London and on specialist overseas tours, most recently in Patagonia, Iceland and Svalbard. Her photos have been exhibited in London, Milan and Madrid.
Nori has worked with a number of travel brands and tourism boards to produce content for brochures and advertising, and her photos have been published across a range of commercial travel publications. A regular contributor to National Geographic Traveller UK, Nori helped judged their 2019 photography competition, and she regularly presents photography sessions at the travel Masterclasses and speaks at panel events on adventure travel and photography. An educator and consultant in literacy, photography and film editing, Nori delivers seminars and workshops.
